Privacy Policy
Short version: PhotoTri does not collect, store or share any of your personal data. Your photos and videos are processed on your phone (iPhone or Android) and never leave it.
Who we are
PhotoTri (the iOS and Android apps and the website phototri.com) is published by MP Conseil & Media, which acts as data controller. Contact: phototri@matthieupoulain.fr.
The PhotoTri app on iPhone
Your photos and videos
PhotoTri asks for access to your photo library so it can show you your photos and videos and delete the ones you choose. All processing, including duplicate and similar-photo detection with Apple's Vision framework, happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded, copied or sent to us or to any third party. You can grant full or limited access, and change it at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
No account, no analytics, no ads
The app has no sign-in, contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDK, and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites. Your preferences (theme, language, haptics, a saved sorting session) are stored locally on your iPhone and are deleted when you delete the app.
In-app purchase
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. We only learn, on your device, whether the Lifetime purchase is active. Apple's handling of this data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
iCloud
If you use iCloud Photos, the app may ask iOS to download a photo from iCloud so you can see it. This exchange takes place between your device and Apple; we have no access to it.
The PhotoTri app on Android
Your photos and videos
The Android app works the same way as on iPhone: your photos and videos are read and analyzed on your phone to show them to you, find duplicates, blurry photos or documents, and delete the ones you choose. Nothing is uploaded, copied or sent to us or to any third party. You can grant full access or access to a selection only, and change it at any time in Android's settings. When you empty PhotoTri's trash, items are moved to Android's trash, which keeps them for 30 days.
No account, no analytics, no ads
As on iPhone, the app has no sign-in and contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDK. Your preferences are stored on your phone and deleted when you uninstall the app.
In-app purchase
Purchases are processed entirely by Google through Google Play. We never receive your name, Google account or payment details. We only learn, on your device, whether the Lifetime purchase is active. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.
The phototri.com website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Like any web host, our hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address in server logs, for security and to deliver the pages. These logs are not used by us to identify you.
When you email us
If you write to phototri@matthieupoulain.fr, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to answer you (legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing support) and delete the conversation within 3 years of our last exchange.
Children
PhotoTri does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Since the app collects none, these rights mostly apply to support emails. Write to phototri@matthieupoulain.fr. If you are in the EU, you may also file a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
